Our Story

The Central Valley Higher Education Consortium, founded in 2000 by Fresno State President John D. Welty and 18 educational leaders, is dedicated to improving educational access and equity for over 250,000 students across California's Central Valley. With 28 member institutions, CVHEC fosters collaboration to enhance degree attainment and student success.

Our Impact

Through initiatives like the Math Task Force and Dual Enrollment programs, CVHEC has significantly improved educational pathways and completion rates for students in the region.
