Our Story

The Airshow of the Cascades began as a simple gathering of friends flying to a ranch in Madras, Oregon. Hosted by Ron Ochs and his family, these annual "fly-ins" grew in popularity throughout the late 70s and early 80s. Recognizing the need for a larger venue, the first official Airshow was held in 2000 at the historic WWII Madras Airport. Since then, it has blossomed into the largest aviation festival in Oregon, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

Impact

Each year, the Airshow provides a vital platform for local community organizations, raising over $10,000 annually for programs and scholarships.
