Our Story

The Central Jersey Aquatic Club, originally founded as the Shore Aquatic Club in 1961 by Bill Palmer, has a rich history as the first AAU swim club in Monmouth County and one of the first in New Jersey. In the early 1970s, the club was incorporated as the Central Jersey Aquatic Club when Palmer partnered with Frank Elm. CJAC gained national recognition in 1976 by winning both the women's senior national championship meet and the combined men's and women's championship. The club has proudly produced several Olympians and Olympic trial qualifiers, showcasing its unwavering commitment to developing elite athletes.
