Established in 1994, Central Food Ministry Inc. emerged from the collaborative efforts of local businessmen and The Lutheran Church of The Savior in Bedford, Massachusetts. Recognizing the urgent need to support a food pantry on the brink of closure, this dedicated group formed a nonprofit to serve the economically distressed in Lowell and surrounding communities.
Each year, over 400,000 pounds of food and thousands of clothing items are distributed, impacting approximately 16,000 individuals in 2023 alone. Volunteers contribute over 10,000 hours annually to ensure the pantry operates effectively.
