About Central Florida Crimeline

Founded in July 1977, Central Florida Crimeline, originally known as Crimewatch, was inspired by the first Crime Stoppers program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The initiative was brought to Orlando by former UCF Professor Bob Doering, who envisioned a community-driven approach to crime-solving through anonymous tips and cash rewards. With the support of local law enforcement, Crimeline has evolved into a vital resource for citizens across six counties in Central Florida.

Our Mission

Central Florida Crimeline aims to enhance community safety by providing an anonymous tip line that rewards individuals for information leading to the resolution of felony crimes. The program operates 24/7, ensuring that citizens can report tips at any time, while maintaining their anonymity.

Impact in the Community

In the past year alone, Crimeline has received 6,798 tips, resulting in 266 arrests and the clearance of 433 cases. The program has facilitated the seizure of over $10 million in drugs and $241,982 in cash and property. Additionally, $124,550 in rewards has been distributed to tipsters, incentivizing community involvement in crime prevention.

Why Donate?

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), Central Florida Crimeline relies on community donations to sustain its operations. Contributions directly support the program's efforts to enhance public safety and encourage citizen participation in crime-solving.
