Our Story

Founded in response to California's Porter-Cologne (Clean Water) Act, Central Coast Water Quality Preservation Inc. was established to ensure sustainable agricultural practices through effective water quality monitoring. Since 2005, Preservation Inc. has managed the Cooperative Monitoring Program (CMP) for the Central Coast grower community, facilitating compliance with state water quality regulations. The organization collaborates with independent contractors to conduct field sampling, laboratory analysis, and comprehensive data reporting, ensuring that agricultural practices do not compromise the region's precious water resources.
