Our Story

The Central Children’s Home of North Carolina has been a beacon of hope since 1883, providing family-centered services to children and youth aged 8–21 who face challenges such as dependency, neglect, or abuse. Founded by the Colored Orphanage Association in Henderson, NC, CCHNC has evolved to create a nurturing environment that fosters emotional, educational, social, spiritual, and physical growth.
