Phoenix Center for the Arts
EIN: 86-0712649 · Phoenix, AZ
Our Story
Established in 1975, the Phoenix Center for the Arts has been a cornerstone of the arts community in Phoenix. Originally operated by the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department, the Center faced closure due to budget cuts in 2011. However, the community rallied together, forming committees and organizing efforts that led to the establishment of the Central Arts Alliance as a nonprofit organization. Since then, the Center has evolved into a vibrant community hub for visual and performing arts, meeting the diverse needs of citizens, schools, and artists alike.
Impact
Through education, programming, and advocacy, the Phoenix Center for the Arts serves thousands of families, artists, students, and audiences in Phoenix.
