In April 2015, the City of Seattle’s Office of Economic Development initiated a commercial revitalization planning process in Seattle’s Central Area, responding to the community's call for greater investment. This led to the formation of the Central Area Collaborative, a coalition of local business leaders dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality of this historic neighborhood.
The Central Area Collaborative invests knowledge, energy, and capital in small businesses, fostering a thriving neighborhood and creating lasting, self-sustaining spaces for community and culture.
