Our Story

The United Board of Missions of Port Arthur, Texas, began as a small outreach in the mid-1960s, aiming to combat poverty in Jefferson County. Officially established in 1969, this organization has evolved from a small group of dedicated Christians operating from a house to a significant nonprofit entity serving countless individuals in the community. In 1967, UBM identified five major social needs in the county, leading to the creation of impactful programs that continue to thrive today.

Impact

UBM provides vital assistance with rent and utilities to families in need.
