Center for the Visually Impaired
EIN: 58-1844142 · Atlanta, GA
Our Story
The Center for the Visually Impaired (CVI) was established in the 1960s by dedicated parents aiming to create better opportunities for their visually impaired children. Originally named Community Services for the Blind, CVI has grown to become Georgia's largest service provider for the blind and visually impaired, merging with various agencies to expand its reach and services.
Impact
Each year, CVI serves over 1,000 individuals, equipping them with essential skills for independent living, education, and community engagement. Nearly half of the clients come from low-income households, and CVI ensures that financial assistance is available to all who need it.
