Our Story

Center for Social Change is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to supporting children and adults with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder. Since 1993, the Center has been a strong advocate for personal choices in community living for individuals who face developmental, physical, psychological, and emotional challenges. By providing a range of services such as residential support, vocational training, and therapeutic integration, the Center has successfully integrated individuals from state institutions into vibrant community living.

Impact

Through its efforts, Center for Social Change has enabled individuals with disabilities to enjoy life and make choices about their activities, from dining and shopping to participating in community events. The organization has expanded its services to support individuals with challenging behaviors and medically fragile conditions across many counties in Maryland.
