The Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago, founded in 1965, emerged from the collaborative efforts of Chicago Loop clergy and seminary faculty. This organization has transformed from the Pastoral Counseling Department of the Church Federation of Greater Chicago into a leader in integrating psychodynamic psychotherapy with spiritual and religious dimensions.
