The Center for Leadership Development (CLD) was established in the mid-1970s by dedicated community leaders in Indianapolis. Recognizing the barriers faced by African American youth, CLD focuses on leadership development, educational attainment, and community service. Over the years, it has positively impacted over 50,000 students and families through various programs.

Significant Impact

CLD has successfully prepared over 12,000 minority youth for college and career success, with 77% enrolling in post-secondary education and 46% earning a college degree, far exceeding state averages.
