Our Story
The Center for Humans & Nature was founded in 2003 by philosopher Strachan Donnelley, who recognized the urgent need to explore the intricate relationships between humans and nature. Inspired by his early experiences in the Illinois marshes, Donnelley established a platform for deep inquiry into our responsibilities towards the environment. Through initiatives like Humans & Nature Press and Humans & Nature Farm, the Center continues to engage communities in meaningful discussions about sustainability.
Impact
By fostering a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness with nature, the Center promotes sustainable practices that benefit both people and the planet.
