Founded in 2001, the Center for Health Equity, Inc. is committed to public service and participatory research aimed at eliminating health disparities. With a focus on race, gender, age, socioeconomic status, and geography, the Center empowers community leaders to address these critical issues directly.
Since its inception, the Center has secured over $10 million in grants, significantly improving maternal and child health outcomes in Gadsden County. Notably, Black Infant Mortality rates have decreased from 26 per 1,000 live births to as low as 12.7.
