Our Story

Inspired by a personal experience, the Center for Food Equity in Medicine was founded to address the urgent nutritional needs of individuals battling chronic health conditions. Established in 2020, it evolved from the Feed1st pantry, which began in 2017 after Ann Jackson witnessed the struggles of a cancer patient unable to afford food during treatment.

Our Impact

Since its inception, over 133,130 pounds of food have been distributed, serving 2,447 households and 8,709 individuals, ensuring that those navigating cancer and other life-altering conditions do not go hungry.
