Our Story
Every movement begins with a simple step of faith. Founded in 2000 by Sean Sanford and his mother, Helen Sanford, the Center for FaithJustice (now known as Goodfaith) started as a New Jersey Service Project. Inspired by the biblical passage, "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:26), Goodfaith offers signature "WorX" programs for youth from middle school through early adulthood. These programs include immersive retreat experiences that engage participants in direct service, community building, prayer, and reflection, all rooted in Catholic Social Teaching.
Impact
Goodfaith has made a profound impact through its programs, particularly the WorX model, which fosters lifelong discipleship among youth. With substantial grants, including a $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment, Goodfaith continues to expand its reach and effectiveness.
