Our Story

Founded in 1977, the Center for Domestic Peace (C4DP) began as Marin Abused Women’s Services to combat domestic violence in Marin County. Over the years, C4DP has evolved, expanding its services to include emergency shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, and community education, all aimed at fostering domestic peace.

Impact

In the fiscal year 2021-2022, C4DP answered 8,956 hotline calls and provided 24,941 bed nights of emergency shelter for 178 adults and 228 children. Since its inception, the organization has supported over 240,000 individuals affected by domestic violence.
