Our Story

The Center for Coastal Studies is committed to understanding, preserving, and protecting marine ecosystems through applied research and education. Founded in 1976, CCS has a rich history of conservation efforts focused on marine life, particularly whales and other marine animals.

Impact

Since 1984, CCS has saved over 150 large whales and more than 60 turtles from entanglements, showcasing its significant role in marine conservation.
