Empowering Families for Academic Success
The Center for Child and Family Achievement (CCFA) was established in 2014 to address the educational needs of families living in poverty. Through engaging focus groups and surveys, CCFA discovered that parents are eager to participate in activities that enhance their leadership skills and set academic goals for their children. This insight led to the development of a program model that actively involves parents in their children's education.
Currently, CCFA serves 26 families and 70 children, providing tailored programs that foster academic achievement from Kindergarten through High School graduation. Each cohort of families is supported by a dedicated leader who ensures ongoing engagement and adapts service plans to meet the evolving needs of the families. Regular evaluations at critical milestones help measure the success of skill acquisition and educational objectives.
