Our Story
The Center for Black Excellence and Culture was founded by Reverend Dr. Alex Gee, Jr. to create a dedicated space for Black culture in Madison, Wisconsin. This community-driven initiative brings together over 800 Black voices to rebuild cultural identity, wealth, and community.

With 90% of the funds raised for a debt-free building, The Center is set to open in 2025, serving as a transformative space that promotes cultural connection and community wellness.
