Our Story
Since 2005, the Center for African American Health has been dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Metro Denver’s Black community. Emerging from the Metro Denver Black Church Initiative, this organization focuses on addressing health disparities through education, collaboration, and advocacy. With a new facility in Northeast Denver, CAA Health empowers individuals to make informed health decisions that benefit their overall well-being.
Impact on the Community
CAA Health is committed to connecting individuals with essential behavioral health services. By hiring Community Peer Recovery Navigators, the organization will enhance outreach efforts to harm reduction organizations and naloxone distribution entities. CAA Health also serves as a vital community convener, addressing opiate challenges within the African American communities of the Denver Metro Area.
