Our Story
CEEDS4Change, founded by Mary M. William in 2018, is dedicated to transforming underserved communities in Boston through education and sustainable practices. With roots in St. Lucia, Mary brings a wealth of experience as a social worker and educator, having worked with various institutions including the Department of Social Services and Boston Public Schools. After retiring, she established CEEDS4Change to address the pressing issue of food insecurity in her community.
The organization focuses on creating self-sustaining collaborations with public schools, higher education, and local businesses. By promoting organic and non-GMO gardening, nutritious cooking, and healthy eating, CEEDS4Change aims to provide access to fresh, nutrient-dense food for those who need it most. The team, comprised of dedicated individuals with extensive experience in education and community service, is committed to redistributing resources and fostering holistic wellness.
