Our Story

Cedars of Marin, founded in 1919 by Cora Myers and Gabrielle Renshaw, is one of California’s pioneering programs dedicated to individuals with developmental disabilities. Established to provide a community-based home for those who would otherwise be placed in state-run institutions, Cedars has evolved over the past century to inspire creative, productive, and joyous lives.

Impact

Today, Cedars serves nearly 200 adults with developmental disabilities through award-winning day programs and residential services, fostering independence and dignity in a safe and supportive environment.
