Our Story
CBU Christian Fellowship Inc began in the early 1970s as a Christian book distributor, founded by Ivery Haynes. Through Spirit-filled Bible-teaching conferences, the organization expanded its reach into international ministry. With a focus on Europe, CBU collaborates with church planters and pastors to spread the gospel in challenging areas. The journey began with a transformative encounter between Ivery and Jim Jackson, who left his business to serve God. Their first conference in 1974 attracted over three thousand attendees, marking the start of a four-decade-long ministry.
In 1989, CBU World Missions was established, initially offering short-term mission trips to expose Americans to international gospel work. A pivotal moment occurred in 1990 when CBU opened doors in Ukraine, leading to the planting of several churches in cities like L'viv and Ternopil. The organization has also made significant strides in Scotland, establishing churches in Bathgate and Edinburgh.
