Our Story
Cattlemen for Cancer Research (CCR) was established in 1999 by a dedicated group of Central Texans committed to combating cancer. This organization supports the mission of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center by raising funds that directly benefit cancer research and patient assistance. The funds raised are allocated to grant funding for scientists at the Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research, and they also provide crucial support for local residents from Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis, and Williamson counties who are seeking treatment at MD Anderson.
