In the face of declining enrollment and school closures, the Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE) was established to revitalize Catholic education in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Founded in 2014, CSCOE emerged from a deep commitment to support preschool through 8th-grade Catholic schools, ensuring they thrive for future generations. Through extensive surveys and community engagement, CSCOE identified key challenges and opportunities, leading to impactful initiatives that foster growth and excellence.

Impacting Lives Through Education

CSCOE's innovative programs have made a significant difference in the lives of students. The Believe and Read literacy program has resulted in a remarkable 61% increase in literacy performance among participants. Additionally, 93% of supported schools experienced a 130% increase in fundraising efforts. In 2023, 1,344 children transitioned from preschool to kindergarten in CSCOE-supported schools, marking a 39% increase since 2017. The Peace of Mind program has also empowered students, with positive coping strategies rising from 26.6% to 92.2%.
