Our Story

The Catholic Psychotherapy Association began as a guild of the Catholic Medical Association in Atlanta, Georgia. Formed by clinicians united by faith, the organization received the blessing of the local Archbishop in 2002. Since then, it has evolved into a national association dedicated to supporting mental health practitioners in their professional and spiritual development.

Impact

By promoting psychological theory and mental health practices that align with Catholic teachings, the CPA enhances the understanding of the human person and society in communion with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
