Our Story

The Catholic CHESS Project was inspired by the urgent need to support poor, orphaned, abandoned, and underprivileged children in Nigeria. Initiated by Rev. Fr. Dr. JohnBosco Ezehi, this project began during his tenure at the Justice Development & Peace Commission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City, where he recognized the dire conditions faced by children in the Remand Home. Officially inaugurated on December 27, 2000, by the Archbishop of Benin City, the project aims to provide a safe home, education, and social support for these vulnerable children.

Impact

The Catholic CHESS Project ensures the physical, psychological, and emotional well-being of orphans and underprivileged children through education, vocational training, and social services.
