Founded in 1945, the Cat Welfare Association is dedicated to improving the lives of stray and abused cats in the Columbus area. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focuses on providing essential care and understanding for homeless cats and kittens. The shelter serves as a safe haven for these felines, offering them love, medical treatment, and a chance for adoption.

In alignment with its mission, the Cat Welfare Association has admitted 847 cats and kittens, many suffering from life-threatening injuries. With an average of 286 felines cared for daily, the organization has successfully placed 740 cats and kittens into loving homes.
