Our Story
The Castle Rock Senior Center was founded in 1971 by a dedicated group of individuals in Douglas County, evolving from a small Senior Citizen Club into a thriving nonprofit organization. With over 1,300 members, the center has been a cornerstone of the community since its incorporation in 1992 and 501(c)(3) designation in 1993. In 1997, the center relocated to the Community Recreation Center, continuing its mission to serve the senior community through a Service Agreement with the Town of Castle Rock.
Impact on the Community
The Castle Rock Senior Activity Center is dedicated to combating isolation and inactivity among seniors, which can significantly diminish quality of life. By fostering connections and providing diverse programming, the center helps seniors create lifelong bonds and discover new interests.
