About Castaway Animals Rescue Effort

Castaway Animals Rescue Effort, also known as C.A.R.E., is a dedicated nonprofit organization established in 1992. With a mission to prevent cruelty to animals, C.A.R.E. has grown into southwest Missouri's largest no-kill shelter, saving over 25,000 lives. Under the compassionate leadership of founder Melissa Sartin, the organization provides safety, hope, and loving homes for animals in need.

Impact of Your Support

Each year, C.A.R.E. rescues approximately 1,000 animals, including dogs, cats, small mammals, and even farm animals. Your generous donations directly change the lives of these animals, giving them a second chance at happiness.

Why Donate?

C.A.R.E. relies solely on public donations to care for its animals, as it is neither city- nor state-funded. Every dollar donated is tax-deductible and makes a significant difference in the lives of animals who have suffered from neglect and abuse.

Make a Difference Today!

Join the fight against animal cruelty by donating today. Your contribution, whether in cryptocurrency or cash, helps provide shelter, medical care, and love to animals in desperate need. Together, we can give them the future they deserve!
