Our Story

Casa Marianella opened its doors on January 6, 1986, initiated by the Austin Interfaith Task Force for Central America. Named after the Salvadoran attorney and human rights advocate Marianella García Villas, this nonprofit began as a single home for displaced individuals. Over the years, it has expanded to multiple facilities, providing shelter and support services to an average of 325 individuals annually.
