Our Story

CASA Kane County is a dedicated nonprofit organization that serves as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children facing abuse, neglect, and private guardianship cases within the Juvenile Court system. Established to give a voice to vulnerable children, CASA Kane County collaborates with the judiciary, agencies, and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to secure safe and permanent homes for children in foster care.

Impact

In Kane County, CASA Kane County serves 100% of abuse and neglect cases, having positively impacted 576 children in 334 cases this year alone. The organization has seen a staggering 217% increase in cases since the onset of Covid-19, demonstrating the urgent need for advocacy. Studies reveal that children with a CASA volunteer are more likely to stay in school and thrive, thanks to the unbiased, child-focused perspective provided during court proceedings.
