Our Story

Casa de Luz San Diego is dedicated to offering a safe haven for LGBTQ+ refugees fleeing persecution due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. This sister organization of Casa de Luz Tijuana focuses on raising funds to support those in dire need.

Impact

In the past five years, over 2,900 LGBTQ+ individuals have lost their lives in Central America due to violence and persecution. Casa de Luz San Diego has successfully assisted 288 individuals in crossing into safety and shelters over 50 refugees at any given time, providing essential services while they await asylum in the United States.
