Our Story
Founded in 1982 by Kathy Foster and Bill Jones, Casa de Esperanza de los Niños Foundation began with a vision to ensure that every child in Houston grows up in a safe and stable home. With a humble $500 gift, the organization has since transformed into a beacon of hope, providing safety and care for over 6,700 infants and young children in the greater Houston area. Casa de Esperanza is dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect through comprehensive residential and family support programs.
Impact
In 2023, Casa de Esperanza provided a safe haven for 25 at-risk infants and young children, delivering a total of 3,904 days of care. Remarkably, 100% of these children made progress toward their developmental milestones. Additionally, 59 families received aftercare services, impacting 151 children and 76 adults, while 597 volunteers contributed over 60,000 hours of service valued at nearly $2 million.
