Carousel of Happiness
EIN: 20-3584335 · Nederland, CO
Our Story
The Carousel of Happiness was founded by Scott Harrison, a former Marine inspired by a music box during the Vietnam War. After rescuing a Looff carousel, he dedicated 26 years to hand-carving animals for its restoration. The community of Nederland raised $700,000 to build a home for this cherished carousel, which opened in 2010 in memory of U.S. Marines who lost their lives in Vietnam.
Impact
Each year, the Carousel brings joy to tens of thousands of visitors, fostering happiness and well-being through shared stories and experiences.
