Our Story

The Caroline Symmes Children’s Cancer Endowment was founded by David and Libby Symmes in memory of their daughter, Caroline, who bravely fought Wilms Tumor Disease. After her passing at just 5 years old, the Symmes family established this nonprofit in 2011 to raise vital funds for pediatric cancer research, focusing on less toxic treatments and targeted therapies for children.

Impact

Since its inception, the Endowment has raised over $3.3 million, significantly advancing research on Non-CNS Solid Tumors. This funding has led to the development of personalized treatment plans and innovative preclinical models, enhancing the understanding and treatment of aggressive pediatric cancers.

Why Donate?

Your contributions directly support groundbreaking research aimed at curing childhood cancers. With less than 5% of federal research funds allocated to pediatric cancer, individual donations are essential for funding innovative therapies that improve outcomes for critically ill children.
