Our Story

Founded in 1985 by P. Leo Corcoran, Caritas Communities emerged in response to the growing number of homeless individuals in Greater Boston. The organization believes that homelessness can be prevented through affordable housing, focusing on Single Room Occupancy (SRO) housing for low- and extremely low-income working individuals.

Our Impact

Each year, Caritas Communities serves over 1,000 individuals, providing them with permanent housing and essential support services. By offering affordable housing, the organization plays a crucial role in preventing homelessness and stabilizing neighborhoods.
