Our Story

Caring Ministries has been a beacon of hope for families across Southern Arizona for over 40 years. Founded by Pastor Ross Hanna in the early 1970s, this nonprofit began as a food ministry at Sharing Ministries Baptist Church in Tucson. In 1992, it became an independent organization, continuing its mission to distribute millions of pounds of food annually in partnership with Arizona Baptist Children’s Services.

Impact

With a budget of less than $300,000, Caring Ministries distributes an astonishing 17,000 pounds of food each day, six days a week, providing nearly $7 million worth of food to those in need every year.
