Our Story

Caring for the Hungry & Homeless of Peekskill (CHHOP) is dedicated to alleviating hunger and homelessness in the Peekskill community and surrounding areas. Through various programs, including a shelter for homeless individuals and healthcare for homeless veterans, CHHOP aims to create thriving individuals and families, fostering thriving communities.

Impact

CHHOP has significantly increased its organizational revenue by 227% and developed programs in response to community needs, such as a collaborative rapid-rehousing program for domestic violence survivors. The organization has also created the Hudson Valley Justice Center and formed a strategic coalition of shelter and housing providers to address policy issues.
