Our Story
Caring Athletes Team for Children and Henry Ford Hospitals, known as CATCH, was founded in 1987 by Hall of Fame baseball manager Sparky Anderson. The organization is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for sick, injured, and needy pediatric patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan and Henry Ford Hospital.
Impact
Since its inception, CATCH has provided over $6.5 million in support to pediatric patients and their families. Contributions have increased significantly, growing from $320,000 in 2012 to $416,500 last year, while the endowment fund has exceeded $9 million.
Why Donate?
Your donation to CATCH directly impacts the lives of pediatric patients and their families by funding essential services and items that would otherwise go unmet. Contributions help with rent, transportation, emergency medications, and specialized tools for children with special needs.
