Care to Learn

Our Story

In 2007, Doug Pitt was moved by alarming statistics about children in poverty in Springfield, Missouri. This led to the creation of Care to Learn in 2008, which began with a single school partnership and has now expanded to over 40 communities across the state.

Impact

Since its inception, Care to Learn has addressed over 3 million emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs, currently supporting more than 135,000 students in 46 school districts throughout Missouri.
