Our Story

Founded in 1987, Caracole began as a small, non-medical hospice for individuals dying of AIDS. As the first licensed adult care facility in Ohio for people living with HIV/AIDS, Caracole has evolved to meet the changing needs of its clients. Today, it offers a comprehensive range of services including HIV prevention, housing support, and case management, positively impacting the lives of over 1,500 clients in the Greater Cincinnati region.

Impact

Caracole has made a significant difference in the Greater Cincinnati community by providing essential services and conducting over 1,700 free HIV tests annually. Innovative programs, such as the free HIV self-testing kit initiative, further enhance its outreach and effectiveness.
