Capracare

Our Story

Capracare is a Haitian-founded and Haitian-led organization dedicated to pioneering a courageous approach to support Haiti and its people. Based in Fonfrède near Les Cayes, Sud, Haiti, Capracare began its journey focusing on school and community-based education, preventative healthcare for children, and accessible mental health education and counseling. Over time, the organization has expanded its services to include essential programs such as computer and English language skills, youth development, and Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment. Serving approximately 20,000 residents and neighboring communities, Capracare listens to the needs of the community, providing tools and skills necessary for rebuilding their lives and nation.

Impact

Support Capracare's three overarching goals: screen 25,000 women for cervical cancer, train 500 individuals to become emergency first responders, and provide 10,000 people with support to combat PTSD.
