Our Story
The Capitol Theatre, originally built in 1920, has a rich history of serving the Yakima community. After a tragic fire in 1975, a dedicated group formed the Capitol Theatre Committee to restore this beloved venue, which reopened in 1978. Today, the organization manages and maintains the theatre, presenting an average of 175 events annually.
