Our Story
Founded in 2008 by Erick and Isaac King, the Capital Youth Empowerment Program (CYEP) was born from personal experiences of growing up in a single-parent household. The Kings recognized the profound impact of an absent father on child development and established four primary programs: Fathers in Touch, Project Success, Decoded STEM Mentoring, and Fathers in Tech. These initiatives aim to bridge gaps in human service systems, particularly focusing on the challenges faced by fatherless homes.
