Our Story

Capital Tea was born from a profound need for community and support within the transgender spectrum. A few years ago, the Executive Director met a young trans woman, newly diagnosed with HIV and feeling isolated. This encounter sparked the idea of a support group, which quickly evolved into Capital Tea. What began as a small gathering has transformed into a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to fostering connections, friendships, and healing among transgender individuals.
