Our Story

Founded in 1988 by Ted and Cindy Keary, Cape CARES began its journey by volunteering with a Texas organization to provide medical and dental care to underserved communities in Honduras. Recognizing the ongoing need for follow-up care, Cape CARES was established to deliver continuous medical and dental services to those lacking access. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach, focusing on preventive care and building sustainable partnerships with local leaders.

Since its inception, Cape CARES has treated over 150,000 individuals, providing essential health services in rural Honduras. The organization has fostered long-term relationships with communities, ensuring continuity of care and addressing health disparities in the region.
